IHM Silvassa (located at Dr. BBA Govt. Polytechnic campus, Karad, Silvassa one 1 km from city) aspires to nurture minds through a rich heritage of academic excellence. A hub of bustling student activities, the beautiful campus has been a second-home to first batch of 42 students of three years of Bachelors of Science (B.Sc) degree in hotel and hospitality administration in July 2010.

The campus is spread on 8 acres (32375sqm) of greenery hence surrounding echoes the vision of success initiated by the founders. Student and staff are equipped with latest equipment and Infrastructure to conquer meticulous performance in addition library, labs and open spaces are designed to supply productivity and confidence in education methods.

On national level about 80% graduates are employed by hospitality and other service sectors through on-campus and off-campus recruitment processes. The curriculum set by National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) plays a vital role in the placement to the students aspiring for a career in hospitality sector.

The recent growth in the tourism industry has given an upshot to the hospitality industry around the globe. Indian hospitality leaves an unforgettable impression on the visitor from the moment he or she arrives in the country. Hospitality is embedded in the culture and heritage of the country. This entails a responsibility upon us to deliver high ranked hospitality.

Hotel management involves a combination of various skills like management, food and beverage services, housekeeping, front office operations, sales and marketing, accounting, Food Safety and Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial & Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing & Management.

Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), Silvassa offers rich heritage of academic excellence to endow students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality sector. The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is jointly offered by National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University
